Believe it or not, Tanner turned 16 (at 6 seconds into 2010) on New Years Day! (No, he doesn't have his driver's license yet - just his permit!)
He decided that he wanted to have a sledding party on the USU Aggie Old Main hill with a number of friends.
It was a snowy day, but not too cold, right around 30 degrees.
Apparently, for some people it was still too warm!!?
How many big teenagers can you pile onto a tractor innertube?
For part of the way down the hill,
they managed to get SIX on - losing people along the way!
When everyone was wet and cold enough,
the party retired to our kitchen for Tim Tam hot cocoa "slams" and a game of Quelf!
Saturday, Landon and I went skiing and snowboarding at Beaver Mountain! Landon was excited to try out his brand new board.
We rode the third occupied chair up the mountain as the lifts opened for the day! We made fresh tracks on the groomed corduroy, and found 4-5 inches of new powder too. It snowed lightly off and on, then the sun peeked through around lunch time, and then it was overcast and around 30 degrees the rest of the day.
We got at least 20 runs in, and by the end of the day we were plenty "toasted" and tired - but it was a good kind of tired!
Here is a very short little video of some skiing and shredin'! Not exactly Warren Miller material, but we had fun!
