Early in December I had the opportunity to return to Hong Kong! Here is a preview of my work and adventures there - I will post more pic's, video and details in the coming weeks!
A few days ago near the end of our time there, as we exited the subway onto the street level in Tsim Sha Tsui, we heard a familiar Christmas Carol being sung in a very UNfamiliar language! Although we did have much success on some long work days, and had the opportunity to see a new part of the world, I am grateful to be home for the holidays!
We had a brief layover in Portland, OR and then in Japan. From SLC to HK airport took about 26 total hours!
The incredible view from "The Peak" atop Hong Kong Island, looking down on Victoria Harbor toward mainland Hong Kong.
View of the incredible Hong Kong skyline - unmatched anywhere in the world! This is from Victoria Harbor waterfront by the Star Ferry pier in Tsim Sha Tsui, looking toward Hong Kong Island.
There are three main ways to get to the island: 5 minutes by motor vehicle via the tunnel under the harbor, 4 minutes via the MTR subway under the harbor, or 10 minutes by boat or ferry.

A brief layover at the Seattle airport on our way home. Because we cross the international date line, we left Sunday at 8:30 am HK time, and landed in SLC Sunday at 1:30 pm MST.
